¿Quiénes somos?

Puertorriqueños Unidos en la Distancia-United in the Distance is a newly formed non-profit organization comprised by residents of Rochester, NY. We aim to coordinate services in the Relief Efforts of those affected by Natural Disasters.  We strive to serve as a liaison for the families relocating to New York by facilitating their transition into our community.

Initiatives

To gather resources and coordinate a referral network for
families migrating from the Caribbean by partnering with local organizations and employers.​  

To provide training to volunteers about the services
available to our participants to ensure families always receive access to all available resources. 

To advocate for the hiring of bilingual personnel by holding
job fairs, partnering ​with local job placement agencies,
​colleges and employers.
